Baker (ベイカー Beikā) is an enemy in Super Double Dragon. He is an agile member of the Shadow Warriors who dual-wields a pair of swords.
Description[]
While Baker is a lesser minion among the same ranks as Williams and Roper, his presence can sometimes turn the tides of a battle toward his gang's favor. He's always seen carrying a pair of dao (Chinese swords) and cannot be disarmed.
He can confuse his opponents with his light movement, although he's easier to knock down than the rest of the enemies (requiring one less hit) and has the least health of all enemies in the game. He can be stunned at the second hit, but cannot be put in a dizzy state with a third one to perform third tier finishing attacks. Likewise, he cannot be arm-grabbed or grabbed by the hair, although illogically enough, the player can block his sword slashes with their arms.
His attacks consist in random single slashes that can be chained into a triple combo that is finished with a simultaneous chop with both swords. He can also perform a somersault with his blades drawn out to slice anyone who gets in the way. However, his most dangerous move is the "Two Blade Cut", an attack where he spreads out his arms with both swords extended and performs an acrobatic side-spinning leap which can cut through almost anything. He also often performs this attack as a finisher for his combos.
Unlike the rest of the enemies in the game, whenever the player has an enemy grabbed either by the hair or the arm, Baker will stand at enough distance to be reached by the player's back kick, which may give them some breathing room while he recovers.
