Double Dragon
Edit
Leader of the Black Warriors. Armed with a machine gun and not afraid to use it.
Double Dragon II: The Revenge
Edit
The big boss of the Black Warriors is back. This time he is responsible for Marian's death. He hasn't changed much since DD I, but now he shoots faster than before and is more capable of killing you instantly. But don't let that intimidate you.
Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team
Edit
In this non-canon game, Roper is a boss in who represents the Shadow Warriors he is as big, bad, and strong as Abobo, but he also has a big gun. Duck under the bullets then rush attack him. He appears at the end of Stage 3 and uses his gun as his main weapon. At a distance, he'll shoot rapidly at the player, which can deplete life quickly if not dodged. He'll also butt the player with his gun when he gets close.
Interestingly, in the Double Dragon series, Roper is only a grunt enemy, but in Battletoads and Double Dragon, his fighting style and appearance resembles Willy, the final boss in several of the Double Dragon games.
Double Dragon Advance
Edit
The big boss of the Shadow Warriors, Willy is not the greatest of fighters in terms of technique. The machine gun he carries, however, makes anyone think twice about calling him a pushover.
Double Dragon (TV series)
Edit
Willy is based on Machine Gun Willy from the first two Double Dragon games. He is shown to be a reckless and irritating cowboy eager to commit any crime because he thinks it's fun. However, unlike in the games, Willy has no leadership qualities and is in fact shown to be quite stupid. Abobo calls him an idiot and a crazy cowboy. Willy serves directly under the Shadow Boss and has no clue that there's also a Shadow Master.
In the second episode, the Shadow Master appears along with the rebuilt Shadow Dojo. When Willy then meets the Shadow Master for the first time, the Shadow Master rightfully notes that Willy's voice is more annoying than a thousand fingernails on a chalkboard. Willy and Abobo are then punished for their failure by being blasted into the Shadow Mural.
